Today we would like to how to pre register South Korea Sender ID.

1. What is Sender ID pre-registration system means?
-> In order to prevent damage to users due to false phone numbers when sending text messages, it is necessary to be pre-registered so the Sender only can be used with authenticated calling numbers.

2. How to pre-register the Sender ID?
-> There are users who sends via website or server, and the registration method is available through the https://surebiz.surem.com site.

3. How to process the registration?
A. Mobile phone number of the representative’s name
– Authenticate with the mobile phone number in the representative’s own name
B. General telephone number of the company or the name of the representative
– Korea operator number certificate & business license
Contact the carrier you are using, receive [Communication Service User Certificate] and submit the copy to SureM
C. Telephone number of employees in the enterprise
– Communication service usage certificate & business license & employment certificate
D. Third party’s phone companies
1) Korea operator number certificate
2) Business license (client)
3) Certificate of employment (client employee)
4) Business license (call number holder)
5) Certificate of employment (employee of the calling number holder)
6) Power of attorney: Refer to the attached form. => The consignee is the customer company.

Firstly, what is Sender ID?
It means Source Address or Source Number that is being used in order to send a message to a destination number.

Many countries are having special characteristic when sending messages using Sender ID.

There are countries where support Sender ID only numeric/alpha, and countries support Sender ID as it is or randomly.

What is South Korea number registration certificate?
-it is similar as ID of a phone number. Which means that, a certificate where allow to prove ownership of number and the Operator they use.

Today we would like to introduce the service of South Korea 080 toll free number

1. What is 080 toll free number service?
A service that allows text recipients to easily refuse to receive text messages without incurring a separate amount of money when sending advertising text messages using a 080 toll free number

2. The mandatory of 080 toll free number
According to Article 50 of (4) and (6) of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilization and Information Protection, A person who transmits commercial information for profit using an electronic transmission medium which an end user refuses to receive the message shall clarify the method in detail.

The recipient shall not bear the financial expenses incurred when expressing his intention.
In addition, violations of this may result in a fine of up to 30 Million KRW ($30,000)

Today we would like to share information related to International Sender ID.

What does International Sender ID means?
It means that, the number or name that will be shown in the message as Sender on receiver’s handset.

In order to send message to overseas, Sender ID is a requirement and each country has their own regulations.
Some countries support Alpha or Numeric, but some countries cannot support fix Sender ID.

China, Australia, United States : Only send numeric Sender ID
United Kingdom, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan : Able to send both Alpha sender ID and Numeric sender ID. For Thailand, pre-register is required.
Indonesia, Philippines and other Europe countries : Random Alpha and cannot set fix Sender ID.

In Korea, before you send Inbound traffic, Sender ID is required and should be pre-registered.

What is pre-register Sender ID?
