Sending email as SMS to mobile

Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) is an Internet standard for electronic mail (email) transmission.

While this protocol is popular, it was not originally developed for messaging and there can be delays in the receipt of the SMS depending on the routing (this does not have anything to do with the software but the design of the protocol).

If your carrier supports SNPP or WCTP we would suggest using those protocols if time is an issue!

Wireless Communication Transfer Protocol (WCTP) – A standard for sending one and two-way wireless messages to paging devices over the Internet. WCTP provides a simple way to make a link between the Internet and a TAP compliant paging terminal.

Simple Network Paging Protocol (SNPP) – A standard for sending one and two-way wireless messages to mobile devices. SNPP provides a simple way to make a link between the Internet and a TAP compliant telecom terminal.
